NiT Hotspot privacy notice
Niaxa Technologies operates this Wi-Fi service and the connected NiT platform. Contact admin@niaxatechnologies.co.zw with privacy, access, correction or deletion requests.
Your shared NiT Account
Wi-Fi signup uses the same NiT Account as other NiT products. Hotspot receives your NiT account identifier, name and email after you authorize the connection. Your NiT password stays with the shared account service. Signing up does not buy subscriptions, approve wallet debits, or subscribe you to promotional messages.
Devices and network records
We record registered device MAC addresses, local IP addresses, router/location, login and disconnect times, active connections, upload/download counters, package limits and enforcement events. Administrators use these records to operate the network, enforce device limits, resolve faults and investigate abuse. MAC randomization can make a device appear new. This application does not collect page contents or browser history; the router and upstream provider necessarily process network traffic.
Payments and rewards
We retain package purchases, amounts, payment references and status, NiT conversion quotes, access records and Wi-Fi loyalty entries. Paynow handles EcoCash mobile approval and web checkout; NiT Points handles its wallet approvals. When you select mobile EcoCash, we encrypt the number you supply and send it to Paynow to request payment. We never request or store your EcoCash PIN. We record the USD base price, settlement currency/amount and published NiT conversion-rate snapshot for each payment. The hotspot integration cannot approve a debit from your NiT wallet. Local loyalty credits are not wallet money and are separate from NiT Points. Authorized staff can review payment and reward records.
Free access and promotions
Allowed NiT websites can be reached without an internet subscription. Each product's own privacy policy and access rules apply. The portal displays NiT app and game promotions without a separate advertising-tracker integration. Following external links can require paid internet access. Marketing messages require a separate choice.
Retention and security
Detailed connection history and stale device-host observations are removed after 30 days. Current registered-device and aggregate usage records remain with your account. Purchase, reward, consent and audit records are retained for account operation, outstanding claims and applicable accounting or legal obligations; deletion requests receive an individual review. We restrict administrator access, encrypt service credentials, authenticate router reports and use verified HTTPS for account and payment services. Open Wi-Fi is a shared network; use HTTPS and protect your devices.
Payments by someone else
You may request payment from another NiT wallet account. We retain the requested wallet number with the payment reference and NiT notifies its owner. Only the payer can authorize spending from their own eligible wallet. Share the approval link only with the intended payer; it reveals the package, receiving wallet and amount, without granting access to the customer account. The Wi-Fi package, device limits and rewards remain with the original customer. Approval returns to the payment flow, where receipt verification and device checks precede connection.
Your choices
View and remove devices and download your hotspot account records from My Wi-Fi. Removing a device revokes its current registration and queues disconnection of active sessions. Using it again requires a fresh account/device registration and an available slot. You can use the free websites without buying a package. Contact us to correct records, withdraw optional consent, close your hotspot account or raise a privacy concern. If a concern remains unresolved, you may contact Zimbabwe's POTRAZ Data Protection Authority.
Policy changes
We record the policy version and time accepted when you connect your NiT Account. Material changes require renewed acceptance before another account authorization.
